Overview
Biography
Josh Maples Extension, teaching, and research efforts center around commodity marketing, price risk management, and agricultural policy. Maples' Extension specialty is in livestock marketing and policy with particular focus on beef cattle and catfish. His Extension and research focus is on helping producers make informed marketing and price risk management decisions and on understanding policy implications of new proposals. He also works with producer organizations and media to provide current market analysis. In the classroom, he teaches the senior and graduate level Ag Policy course, AEC 4413/6413 Public Problems of Agriculture. He has previously taught AEC 4123/6123 Financial and Commodity Futures Marketing.
