Patrick Vowell
As Special Projects Officer with the Mississippi Soil & Water Conservation Commission, Patrick Vowell works statewide to inform and educate landowners about agricultural best management practices and the water quality benefits derived from their use. He joined MSWCC in July 2002 as a Field Representative for North Central Mississippi, and began his current position in May 2004.
After receiving his bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness in May 1999, Patrick worked for Southern States in Winder, GA, first as a Management Trainee and then a Department Manager.
A native of Leake County, he is still involved with his family’s small commercial beef cattle operation. Patrick and his wife Misty (Young) live in Pearl, MS with their two daughters, Olivia, 2, and Madeline, ten months. His hobbies include hunting and watching college football.
