The Food and Fiber Production Management option provides a sound economic and business background with the flexibility to emphasize areas of interest in agriculture. With this flexibility, students can specialize by selecting courses dedicated to a particular area of agriculture, or they can select courses from a variety of areas to develop a more general and broad-based program of study.

Opportunities in Food and Fiber Production Management are broad and diverse. Some examples of career opportunities include farm and ranch management, agricultural lending, sales production management and consulting. Students in this option typically select areas of emphasis in animal and dairy science, poultry science, agronomy, soil science, plant pathology, and agricultural engineering. Students are encouraged to seek minors in other departments in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
