he process of growing, processing, and retailing food products has never been more important or complex. Global markets demand a thorough understanding of supply chain management, as well as marketing, finance, and risk management. This new program is designed specifically for those interested in participating in the food marketing system and developing new approaches to feeding the world.

Students get a strong background in economics, marketing, finance, and management as well as communications and food science to prepare them for careers in food marketing or graduate school.

Preparation for the real world:

The food system continues to expand and offer a wide variety of career opportunities. Our graduates have a strong record of performance in agribusiness throughout the nation and the world. Our Food Marketing concentration targets these opportunities by preparing students through a mix of courses, marketing competitions, and internships. The unique combination of courses and outside activities prepares students for the complex world of food manufacturing, marketing, and policy. Since the food system is a cornerstone of society, graduates have the opportunity to make a real impact in the world.

Our Department has a national reputation for producing students who are ready to perform. The next generation of students will help maintain and transform the food marketing system.
