oncerns regarding environmental issues and natural resource use have increased over the past several decades and the government has implemented many environmental polices that directly impact agriculture.

Understanding the effects of environmental policies on individual’s land use decisions is critical because it provides information about the tradeoffs people are willing to make, the costs and benefits of proposed environmental policies, as well as the policies potential success rate.

Opportunities for our graduates exist in consulting, law, agricultural policy and government.

The Environmental and Resource Economics concentration will provide students with the necessary tools to participate in the future of environmental policy and resource allocation. The program is designed to provide students with a strong background in agriculture, economics, environmental issues, and environmental policy.
