Welcome Message
Welcome to the Agricultural Economics website. This is the place where you can investigate our undergraduate and graduate programs, read about our alumni, and learn about the research and extension activities of the department. It is an exciting time as we have developed a new undergraduate major (Environmental Economics and Management) and many of our alumni are making major contributions to their industries and communities. In addition, we are in the process of renovating the Lloyd Ricks Building, built in 1929, and our home for most of our existence since our founding in 1913. Thank you for visiting our site. The Department of Agricultural Economics at Mississippi State University is known across the country and around the world for it's ability to provide "relevant, applied analyses to address the myriad of complex problems facing agriculture." The Department is currently involved in a number of projects with the government and with private industries covering a wide range of topics.
